One of the many ways to interpret line is through patterns. The following picture is an example of a Zentangle that I drew. Zentangles, which are essentially shapes comprised of patterns, helped me better understand ways to use lines to fill space.
For my final project, I decided to interpret an idiom about lines. "Drawing the Line," which can mean setting limits, is something I interpreted literally. I used my own hands as models for this drawing.
I feel proud of the artwork I was able to produce for this unit. Although I like the realistic appearance of the hands, I wish I had taken more time to make it look a little cleaner and the left hand more three dimensional.
